DENVER MARCH POWWOW
HEAD STAFF
The Arena Director and Head
Judges will organize the grand entries and generally
direct the activities in the dance arena. The Denver
March Powwow Committee will select past champions and participants of
their events to serve as head staff and are confident
that every contestant will be treated fairly.
By popular demand, the Committee has asked Lawrence Baker to return
as a Master of Ceremonies. Another popular announcer from the northern states and Canada,
Tommy Christian from the Ft. Peck Reservation in Montana, will join Lawrence. Chico Her Many
Horses will be returning
as Arena Director. Jonna Denny Blackhair has been asked to serve as Head Northern Judge.
She has
participated as a Jingle Dress Dancer in the Denver March Powwow for many years. Our Head
Southern Judge is M. Renee
Hamilton Alexander, a Southern Cloth Dancer, another Denver March Powwow participant.
