Diane Buck
Diane Buck, enrolled member of the Assiniboine, from the Fort
Belknap Reservation in Montana has been involved with the Denver
March Powwow for several years. She has been the Secretary-Treasurer for the
past 18 years and has chaired the Contest Committee for the past
20 years. In the past, Diane has served on various boards of directors within the Indian
Community.
She attended high school in Harlem, Montana and graduated from Haskell in Lawrence, Kansas. She also attended Junior College at Haskell. Diane retired September 2000 after 32 years of Government Service. She has resided in Denver for 33 years.
Diane is the daughter of the late Florence Longknife-Capture and the late Joseph Buck. She has three sisters: FayeDean, Jolene, and Bebiana; adopted sisters Martina (Menard) LaDeaux and Sandra Black Bear-White; four brothers: Medric, Duane, Frank and Conrad. Diane is the proud grandmother of many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
